Luis has been President of Mergium Advisors for 16 years. He provides assistance to clients in mergers and acquisitions, sale of companies, capital raising (debt/equity), business valuations, joint ventures, project finance, and pre-M&A analysis and planning.

Luis has been fully dedicated to corporate finance during the last 29 years. He has spent those years working in the US and in emerging markets serving private/family-owned, middle market and Fortune 500 companies. Luis has worked in domestic and cross border transactions. He has extensive international experience.

Luis has executed transactions in a broad range of industries. He has led M&A, capital raising transactions, and project finance engagements in education, healthcare services, business services, manufacturing, logistics, technology, agribusiness, renewable energies, media, oil and gas, power generation, consumer products, financial services, and chemicals.

He is also an expert in business valuations having performed more than 200 valuations during the last years. He has experience in valuation of intangible assets and valuation for financial reporting purposes.

Luis spent most of his professional career at KPMG Corporate Finance (investment banking arm of KPMG) where his last position was Partner/Director. He also was a Managing Director - Investment Banking at INTL FCStone Inc. (today Stone X (NASDAQ: SNEX)) and the CFO for Latin America at the Western Union Co (NYSE: WU).

Education: PhD and Masters degrees in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering.
